Loss

Grief is work.

Disbelief, numbness, anger and sadness are all normal to experience after losing someone you love. When intense emotions swell and catch us off guard this can be surprising. Wrestling with guilt and regret can be complicated to understand. And, the inability to always anticipate moments when we feel emotional takes a toll.

Feelings of grief and the experience of mourning are not limited to losing a significant person in our lives. Both are also common and understandable when life changes in a significant way or we face an unexpected turn in the road. All of these feelings can be exhausting to navigate as you work to stay engaged in your day to day activities.

Your experience with loss is deeply personal. Finding a safe space where you can allow for a range of emotions can be helpful as you do the work grief demands of us all and slowly recover your ability to live fully after loss.
